changes and new features

1. NEW FEATURE: for a first time the v5.0 introduces a support of WebServices. Currently the following SearchFit's features are exposed as WebServices:
- do-test : just a test service
- do-import-store-records : import records to the store
- do-generate : start generation (and possible transfer)
- do-import-orders : import orders' information
SearchFit's WebServices are mostly used from programmers and developers and allow them to integrate SearchFit with their own software.

2. NEW FEATURE: a "[change]" link will be shown on the 3rd checkout page near every major section's title to allow the buyer to navigate to the corresponding checkout pages easier.

3. NEW FEATURE: If the state or country is shown on the 1st checkout page and the buyer changes one of them then the page will be automatically refreshed, recalculating all amounts

4. NEW FEATURE: (Products : ready to order check) added an option to the "configuration per user" that allows a message to be shown to the buyer if the adding product is with price 0 and there are unselected options (checkboxes or radiobuttons)

5. NEW FEATURE: for authorize.net customers: SearchFit transmits the order numbers to the creditcard processor using the x_invoice_num field. This means that using the authorize.net admin pages the customers will be able easy to refer to the corresponding SearchFit order.

6. NEW FEATURE: the quantity of the item that is added to the cart is not allowed to be a number with decimals. For example: if the qty is 0.1 then it will be automatically changed to 1. If the qty is 1.6 then it will be automatically rounded to 2.

7. NEW FEATURE: added a new Payment Method called "By Phone". The "By Phone" and the "Customized" payment methods can be configured to collect BillingAddress OR BillingAddress+CreditCard OR NoBilling information on the checkout pages

8. NEW FEATURE: added a new products' property called "Order By Phone Only". If a product is configured with "Order By Phone Only" then it can still be placed in the cart and ordered, but the buyer has to call the store in order to confirm the collection of the funds.

9. NEW FEATURE: new keywords can be used in the products' templates:
- AUTO_GENERATED_PRODUCT_URL_ADD2WISHLIST: will be replaced with the URL of the "Add to WishList" link
- AUTO_GENERATED_PRODUCT_URL_MOVE2CART: will be replaced with the URL of the "Add to Cart" link
- AUTO_GENERATED_PRODUCT_URL_ADD2CART: will be replaced with the URL of the "Buy Now" link

10. NEW FEATURE: new keyword for the main template:
- AUTO_GENERATED_CONTEXT_OPTIONS_MANUFACTURERS: context sensitive manufacturers (see the main template help)

11. NEW FEATURE: new attributes allowed in the orders' export template:
- strip_notices="yes" - strip's all notices (messages in orange)
- strip_errors="yes" - strip's all errors (messages in red)

12. NEW FEATURE: new html tags can be used in the template for the order receipt emails:
- <do_strip_notices/>: will strip all predefined notices from the email
- <do_strip_errors/>: will strip all predefined errors from the email

13. NEW FEATURE: if different then both shipping and billing countries/states will be shown on the orders page

14. NEW FEATURE: the store owner can allow the buyers to sort the dynamic search results by Price:LowestFirst and Price:HighestFirst

15. NEW FEATURE: the search feature searches in the detail descriptions of the products as well

16. NEW FEATURE: new report with name "Products Sold" is available at REPORTS/ByOrders

17. NEW FEATURE: the store owner can create as many real-time S&H methods as necessary. The names of the services of real-time methods (UPS, USPS, FedEx) can be customized.

18. NEW FEATURE: the S&H methods can be limited with the special [non-USA] country

19. NEW FEATURE: (CONFIGURE/AllUsers) the ChiefAdmin can restrict the CreditCards viewing to selected role

20. NEW FEATURE: the store owner is now able to add additional fees of any kind like warranty fees, support fees, etc. The additional fees will be shown on the first checkout page as checkboxes and are allowed to be selected from the buyer.

21. NEW FEATURE: the products import feature was enhanced, so the images of the categories and subcategories can be imported also

22. NEW FEATURE: new keyword that can be used in the products' templates:
- AUTO_GENERATED_PRODUCT_LAYOUT2_SPECIALTIES - will be replaced with the names of all available specialties (discounts) using layout2 (see the help)
- new CSS styles for the generated specialties table

23. CHANGE: the "Move to Cart" link should not give a warning pop-up message because of a pop-up blocker anymore

24. CHANGE: the size of the files that the import functions accept is changed from 10MB to 25MB

25. CHANGE: the From address of the orders' emails sent to the store owners is the email address of the customer, which helps for easier reply

26. CHANGE: the shipping phone on the 2nd checkout page is optional (not required anymore), but the billing phone stays required.

27. CHANGE: the customer's information in the session is all removed (not only the creditcard information as before) after a logout operation or successful order

28. CHANGE: the names of some menus were changed:
- S&H -> HANDLING
- S&H Methods -> Fees Methods
- S&H Fees -> Fees Details

29. BUG FIXED: USPS error messages with codes less than 0 were not handling properly

30. BUG FIXED: the quantity of the just added to the cart product has zero quantity on the 1st checkout page for stores that do not have the quantity field shown on the generated pages

31. BUG FIXED: fixed a problem with the category's dropdown on the admin pages when the category's name contain HTML code

32. BUG FIXED: no products are allowed to be ordered for an inactive user

33. BUG FIXED: the values of the fields "Inactive Category Types", "Inactive Categories", and "Inactive Products" were having wrong values on the Reports/Stats page

34. BUG FIXED: the registration was failing if the name of the customer had an apostrophe

To make this *really* useful, please consider the following:

Add a link to allow the SearchFit store owner to enter credit card information when received by phone and send the data to the credit card processor as though the client had done so online.

I would like to have a checkbox option for UPS Saturday Delivery appear *only* if the client selects UPS Red Label service. There's a fixed fee for Saturday delivery, something like $13 or $15. How can I implement this?

when we enable an order to be edited then the store owner will be able to charge creditcards for orders with "by phone" status

UPS Red Label (Saturday delivery)
