|
|
Stan,
I was wondering what prompted the shipping changes, as far as the 1st page of the shopping cart. And is there any way to get it back to the way it was before. We use a calculation method, that is based on the weight of the order and the destination weight. Customers used to be able to get a shipping quote on the first page of the Shopping cart, and decide if that was what they want to do, now they think they are going to get one rate and then on the next page when they enter their location, and then when they pay the total is going to be higher and customers are going to pretty upset. so what I am trying to say is that WE REALLY NEED IT HOW IT WAS BEFORE!!!!!!!!!!!

I noticed that you have "S&H fee State adjustment" records, which should make the shipping fields visible on the 1st page
this is a bug, which I am going to work on and fix it ASAP
we will release v4.24.1 in 2-4 days and you will have the fix there
I am sorry about that

Should go something like this......
AUTO_GENERATED_OPTIONS_MANUFACTURERS |

Steve,
you do not have to add anything to the main template
just create a new CategoryType and select the "Generation Type" for it to be "Manufacturers" and you should be done
good luck,

hm,
it generates the pages, but I see a couple of small problems:
1. the number of the items in the menu is not always correct
2. when I select a category many categories got highlighted
this was the first production release of the manufacturers generation and seems like we have to fix a few things
apart of that, I see all your pages generated
any other problems that I did not nitice?

It creates catagories under the manufacturer which is not needed.
It should be only the products under each manufacturer. |

yes, it creates categories, this gives you more pages grouped by manufacturers
there has been several requests about this as well
if you want to hide the categories on the main pages, just select to generate without the categories expanded

This will not serve the purpose for static manufacturers.
Infact this tactic will hurt you.
The whole point to static manufacturer is to have the same products grouped differently.
By generating the entire category the specific product is in is redundant and serves no purpose whatsoever to search engines or consumers. |

the generation with the categories is used from some customers right now
I have to work then to enable you to generate without categories included, so you will have the products grouped by manufacturers only
I am sorry, this generation ended to be of a big change of our engine and seems like we did first the more difficult part (to include categories).
We will work on the second phase of this generation

So far this is a great new feature. I'd like to see two changes though.
Please display the manufacturer image on the generated manufacturer pages. Also, please add functionality so that we can enter AUTO_GENERATED_HEADER and AUTO_GENERATED_CONTENT for each manufacturer.
That would give the Products by Manufacturer pages a more professional look and feel and would allow us to briefly describe each manufacturer's products in general.
Thanks and keep up the good work. _________________ Regards,

19. NEW FEATURE: (Columns under CategoryType Menu) added an option to the "configuration per user" that allows dual or more categories navigation (2 or more columns under the categorytypes' menus)
Please explain what this does and how I can use it. Thanks. _________________ Regards,

also.
When you generate the manufacurers catagories, the img click link goes to the wrong directory. The text link is correct. |
