changes and new features

1. CHANGE: increased the creditcard number field to 20 characters on the checkout page. Some customers are trying to enter their creditcard numbers having spaces or dashes in between, so 16 characters are not enough.

2. NEW FEATURE: "Show Empty Categories". New CategoryType's property, which enables/disables the generation of categories that do not have products (empty categories) for customized stores. Some customers would like to show a category page that has a content but does not have products.

3. NEW FEATURE: Header Line CategoryType (Background). Added a new image to the ImagesSet that is the background of the header line of CategoryType. Before the background of the header line of CategoryType was the same as for the Category.

4. NEW FEATURE: the zip code on the checkout page must be at least 5 characters if US is selected as a country. Will do more checks for the zip code in future versions.

5. NEW FEATURE: Product's ShippingFee. New Product's property, which makes possible a free shipping OR a flat shipping fee to be assigned to a product.

6. NEW FEATURE: The product's list price (if shown) will be recalculated automatically when the buyer changes the quantity or selects an option that has a price. This will happen without refreshing the page where the product is shown. We implemented before this feature for the selling price, now it works for the list (regular) price as well.

7. BUG FIXED: (Netscape only) selecting "Choose Category" from the generated categories dropdown using Netscape was redirecting the visitor to a non existing page.

8. NEW FEATURE: (Order's Min Amount) added a new field to the configuration per user, which allows the user of SearchFit to specify the minimum amount of an order that can be placed. The default is 0.01, which means no orders with a subtotal of 0.00 (zero) can be placed. The subtotal of an order is actually the dollar value of all items in the cart.

9. BUG FIXED: USPS were giving "Invalid Country Name" for some countries. For example instead of "United Kingdom" or "Great Britain", SearchFit has to send to the USPS's server "Great Britain and Northern Ireland".

10. NEW FEATURE: in case of a successful order SearchFit may connect to an external URL passing information of the placed order. This helps some customers to integrate SearchFit with affiliate systems they use already

11. NEW FEATURE: the export orders engine has been extended to support exports in QuickBooks format, more complicated HTMLs, finished XMLs, and others.

12. NEW FEATURE: "ORDER_ITEMS_NOPRICES" is a new keyword that can be used in the export's templates for orders. During the export the keyword will be replaced with all the information but prices of the items in the order.

13. NEW FEATURE: "ORDER_ITEMS_DETAILS_NOPRICES" is a new keyword that can be used in the dropshipping's templates. During the export the keyword will be replaced with all the information but prices of the items in the order.

14. NEW FEATURE: the buyers are able to see the number of products, subtotal, and grandtotal for their cart on the generated static HTML pages as well. This function is optional and can be enabled by changing the templates.

15. NEW FEATURE: the header line on the checkout pages that shows the totals of the cart can be customized. Added new CSS in the Scart's CSS: scart_header_total, scart_header_total_labels, and cart_header_total_values

16. NEW FEATURE: the list price, generated by SearchFit, can be customized. Added a new CSS in the WebSite's CSS: product_list_price

17. NEW FEATURE: details of the ordered items like index, name, quantity, price, total price in an order can be exported separately. Different keywords have been created for the purpose that can be used in the export templates (see "Templates Repository for Export Orders" help).

18. BUG FIXED: there were special cases, which made the buyers via linkpoint to get "Total charge amount did not match sum of the subtotal, shipping, tax and vattax amounts." error message.

19. NEW FEATURE: if JavaScript or Cookies are not enabled on the buyer's web browser then corresponding messages will be shown if he/she tries to add items to the cart.

20. CHANGE: customer's fullname is exported like "firstname lastname" instead the old "lastname, firstname" format

21. NEW FEATURE: support of the UK counties

22. NEW FEATURE: (Taxable S&H) added a new field to the configuration per user, which allows the user of SearchFit to set that all shipping fees will be taxable (a request of customers from UK)

23. NEW FEATURE: search by keywords and browse by manufacturer that work directly with the database have been implemented. This new search comes in request of customers that have huge stores and the current static search is slow.

24. NEW FEATURE: added a new template to the repository that the dynamic pages use to render the products (in result of a search for example)

25. NEW FEATURE: (DYNAMIC PAGES: Page Template). Added a new field to the configuration per user, which allows the user of SearchFit to select the template of the dynamic pages. Dynamic pages are pages that are used for functions like search products by manufacturers, by alphabet, etc.

26. NEW FEATURE: (DYNAMIC PAGES: Product Template). Added a new field to the configuration per user, which allows the user of SearchFit to select the template that will be used when showing the products on the dynamic pages (products shown as search results for example)

27. NEW FEATURE: (Categories : show descriptions). Added a new field to the configuration per user, which allows the user of SearchFit to select whether or not the descriptions of the categories are shown together with the categories' links

28. NEW FEATURE: a Category (together with all products under) can be moved to any CategoryType. This feature comes in request of customers that want to change the structure of their existing CategoryTypes/Categories.

29. NEW FEATURE: now Products can be exported using templates. This feature has been implemented in request of customers that want to export products in order to create and send a Froogle Data Feed (see www.froogle.com)

30. CHANGE: the color of the separator ">" that is used in the categories' path was hardcoded to blue, so it is changed to CSS's categories_path_separator

31. NEW FEATURE: the payment methods PayPal, MoneyOrder, and Check may have customized names assigned that will be shown on the checkout pages

The forum announcement speaks of the 4.15 as though it is the current version. My SCART still displays 4.14.1.

Is 4.15 up and if not do you know approximately when it will be. I'm really looking forward to implementing several of the new features.
