Stan is tha Man AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks so much, we really needed the Shipping and Handling thing, that will help a bunch.
The only thing is: It recalculates when they change the S&H method, but when they change the destination state, it does not recalculate, I think this will still lead to some confusion as when the customer puts in the shipping and handling method of "Curbside Delivery" it will come up with the standard charge, which would apply to the West Coast. Then lets say they put in NY as their destination, then the charge would go up a couple of hundred dollars. But as it stands right now, they have to refresh to see those charges.
We all know that is says you need to recalculate, and it has the blinking arrow, but I know that some people are either going to ignore it or just plain not see that.
So What I am saying is that when the change any of the fields for the destination, it needs to automatically refresh too.
I hope this can be done. _________________ Jerome Farnum

OK, will do. I've been experimenting with it this evening. So far I've been able to get it to work once but then I couldn't repeat it. I'll mess around some more and if I still have trouble I'll let you know. _________________ Regards,

We are writing a program to create a <TAB> delimited ASCII file from the vendor e-mails we receive each day. I need a way to FTP the file to the store server for automated updates.
His app will send the ASCC file to the server each time I receive a formatted e-mail. The app will run in the background on my machine. If possible, I'd like to have the SearchFit server receive the files without human intervention, insert the data in the proper fields, update the status to "Done" and send a pre-defined (by me) e-mail to the customers.
The e-mail will tell the client that there is updated tracking information available. It does not need to include the actual tracking data, although that would be cool too.
Is there a way to do this using the current version? _________________ Regards,

I am sorry Robert, there is no way to automate this in SearchFit at the moment
If that needs to be done I see it as a SearchFit's Web Service, which your program has to invoke. There is no such a Web Service yet implemented and it requires also a programming knowledge at your side about how to invoke Web Services where the handshake is in XML.
thanks,

BTW, we're not short on programming knowledge on my side and XML is right up our alley.
I expect to have the software ready soon to send a tab delimited ASCII file from my PC to the SearchFit server. What I need from SearchFit is a script to automatically import the data into the appropriate record each time we send a file.
Once the data has been imported I need your script to return a confirmation that it has been done. My SW will then move the order update e-mail to a different Outlook folder on my PC, designating it as "proceesed". If we don't get the confirmation the message will then be placed in another folder for manual processing. _________________ Regards,

In case anyone else is interested in this thread I thought I'd post what we've done so far. SF is writing custom changes to implement the automated order tracking updates. We are writing an application program to parse incoming e-mail for relavent information, paste it into an XML file and upload it to the SF server in real time.
When SF receives an automated update it will append the tracking information to the order, change the order status to "Done (shipped)" and send an e-mail notification of the shipment to the customer.
If anyone else wants to use our software they can contact me with any custom changes they would like and I will quote a price. _________________ Regards,
