changes and new features

1. CHANGE: by default, the customers of the resellers of SearchFit will not receive emails of the updates

2. CHANGE: if the owner of the store searches for products by manufacturer then do not show products of type links

3. CHANGE: order status "Done" is changed to "Done (shipped)"

4. CHANGE: changed the icons of orders with status "New (not finished)" and "In Progress"

5. CHANGE: paypal orders have automatically statuses PAID only if the payment status of the transaction is "Completed"

6. CHANGE: changed the first checkout page to show some help in case a shipping method (real-time or country restricted) is available.

7. CHANGE: increased the length of the FTP username and password that are part of the user properties to 25 characters

8. NEW FEATURE: the user is able to check the date modified for all records of type user, categotytype, category, product, manufacturer

9. NEW FEATURE: (PayPal support) new option with name "Include Sales Tax". Select "No" only if PayPal calculates the sales tax by itself, so SearchFit will exclude the sales tax from the total when processes the order via PayPal.

10. NEW FEATURE: SearchFit supports "Bank of America" real-time creditcard processor

11. NEW FEATURE: SearchFit supports plugnpay.com real-time creditcard processor

12. NEW FEATURE: (Categories : show images) added an option to the "configuration per user" that allows the images of the categories not to be shown on the generated pages

12. NEW FEATURE: a prompt "remove item?" when the buyer clicks on the remove icon for an item on the first checkout page

13. NEW FEATURE: new "Authorized [Not Paid Yet]" status of the orders. An order has this status if a real-time creditcard processor is used and the order has been AuthorizedOnly (funds not collected yet).

14. NEW FEATURE: the export orders now have new keyword ORDER_ITEM_OPTION_X (X must be a number) that will export the Xth option of the exporting item (see the help). This is good only for orders of version 4.21 and above.

15. NEW FEATURE: the export orders' <export_foreach_record> element supports new attributes (see the examples):
a) format_phone="digits_only" - all phone numbers will be digits only
b) format_state="xx" - all states will be 2 letters only (TX, CA, NY, etc.)
c) format_country="xx" - all countries will be 2 letters only (US, GB, BG, etc.)

16. NEW FEATURE: new keyword AUTO_GENERATED_SITEMAP_DETAILS can be used in the content of the "customized web links and pages" that will be replaced with the autogenerated sitemap. The sitemap will have the descriptions of the categories, subcategories, and products included.

17. NEW FEATURE: added a new action "Redirect" for the Custom Web Links, which will redirect the visitor of a webpage to another one.

18. NEW FEATURE: the search form may include "Name starts with" dropdown. This way the customer may have search by categories and alphabet together (see the help of the main template).

19. NEW FEATURE: there is an extra verification of the entered phone number on the checkout pages: if the selected country is USA then the phone number should have at least 10 digits.

20. NEW FEATURE: more fields like Product's List Price, Brief Description (Additional 1), Detail Description (Additional 1), Quantity, Weight, Manufacturer ID, Manufacturer Name, Options' List Price, Options' Price can be exported using the export product feature (see the help)

21. NEW FEATURE: (SuperAdmin only) the super admin is able to select the type of pages where the footer links can be shown. The default is that the links are shown on all but the custom weblinks and products' pages

22. NEW FEATURE: the mailing list can be searched by two more fields: Email and Name

23. NEW FEATURE: two more keywords can be used in the template of the products
a) AUTO_GENERATED_PRODUCT_ID
b) AUTO_GENERATED_PRODUCT_ID_FOREIGN

24. NEW FEATURE: the configuration of the FedEx shipping method has a new property: "Apply FedEx Discounts". If its value is No then there will be no FedEx discounts applied to the S&H fee for the selected account.

25. NEW FEATURE: (for webdesigners only) javascript functions for all categorytypes, categories, and subcategories can be included in the templates to implement some tricky javascripts like preload of images. Bellow are the signatures of the functions:

26. NEW FEATURE: the ID part of the order number is shown in bold on the orders page

27. NEW FEATURE: Inventory Control
a) quantity can be entered/imported for every product. It will be used if the Inventory Control is enabled.
b) quantity threshold can be entered for every product. It will be used if the Inventory Control is enabled to send email notification when a product's quantity reaches the threshold.
c) new option's properties: option number (SKU), option quantity. These will be used if the Inventory Control is enabled.
d) all quantities of products/options will be automatically decreased/increased if Inventory Control is enabled and there is a new order or a change of a status of an existing order has been made.
e) added options to the "configuration per user" that allow the inventory control to be enabled
f) exports of products like "Purchase Orders" and "Inventory Report" by creating corresponding templates (see the examples)
g) warning! the inventory control is disabled for products with empty product numbers (SKUs)

28. NEW FEATURE: the import products feature has new properties:
c) for options: weight
d) for options: number (sku)
e) for options: quantity

29. NEW FEATURE: added a new status of orders "Partially Shipped". A checkbox for every order's item is available to mark the item shipment.

30. BUG FIXED: some Packaging Types of FedEx accept 0.5lb as a minimum weight. This is now fixed in SearchFit.

31. BUG FIXED: all double quotes of the names of the products were replacing with single quotes by mistake

32. BUG FIXED: there was a problem while calculating the USPS shipping fees for the US ZIP codes in the format XXXXX-YYYY. It was giving an error message like "Please enter a valid ZIP Code for the recipient."
