| By "error log file", do you mean a file that contains all errors from the output report (that appears after performing an import)? |

Apache web servers generate an error log recording the IP time date of anyone who gets a 401,403,404 etc... Here is an example from another site I run
| Code: |
| [Fri Sep 19 13:53:25 2008] [error] [client 200.63.42.77] \x07Out of memory (Needed 840892 bytes), referer: http://www.miltonfamilydentistry.com/guestbook/index.php?inputmask=0 |
I want to see what are giving people 404 page not found errors. Also I want to see if people are getting 403 permission denied when they should[/code] |

| How are we supposed to know which ones of our links are broken? |

There are many link checker programs that will give you a list of broken links per page. Here is a free one I have used on several websites:
Xenu's Link Sleuth

Error log gives you more info than broken links.
For example links from other sites that are misspelled.
I think access to an error log fromadmin will be nice. |
