SF:

How can we adjust the "logout time" on the SF interface?

It is much shorter since the upgrade.

Please advise.

I will pass this request on to our programming team. There is no setting available for this.

The logout time is the default one that comes with PHP on your server. I am not sure if it was 10 or 15 mins, but the default setting was never changes, so it does not matter if we have upgraded SF or not. Probably the PHP on your server has been upgraded and its default value is different? Did you notice what is the timeout right now?

I noticed the same problem as soon as we went to release 8.
It used to be hours before I would get logged out.
Now it is a fraction of an hour.

In general, having hours as timeout is a problem. I guess there has been something wrong before.

The default PHP timeout is 10 or 15 mins, which ensures your session is not exposed when you forget to logout.

I will see if we have the time to make that customizable soon.

SF:

It would be great if we could select this time lapse. I'm logging in 10 times a day (and I don't leave my computer). It started ever since the new version came out.

Look forward to selecting this in the future.

This should not be a big deal. We have to see when we can allow this to be specified.

SF:

Do you have any ETA when we will be able to specify logout expiration times? It's driving us nuts here Laughing

If it is too far out can I request this through the business office?

Let us know.

Thanks.

Yes, you can call the office and ask for it. This is no more than 1-2 hours thing I believe.

By the way, I just checked the default setting on your server that specifies the timeout of idle sessions and it is 25 minutes. This is not because of SF, this is the default setting of the new PHP version that you have been upgraded to.

Also, this should be the default one for any server of ours, so it is not that short as some are saying 10-15mins.
